Today we're watching ice melt and keeping warm inside, dwelling on how ironic it is that we were wearing tank tops and shorts while playing frisbee on the town square two days ago. Last night we went out to eat with Brett's Aunt and watched the Oscar's Red Carpet while at the restaurant, and I reminisced the love I have for California warmth and how Texas rarely gets "nice weather" right. I think I really just wanted to wear a pretty dress but it was just too cold outside and I was jealous of all those pretty girls at the Oscars. So lesson of the day: Get nominated for an Oscar so you can fly out to California and wear a pretty dress in nice weather instead of watching ice melt under 6 layers of pants, socks, and flannels.
