Texas Tech Senior Portraits | Fernie

This is Fernie.

Senior Pictures included Margaritas at Chimey's because OF COURSE, Walks across campus (in her super cute/somewhat painful heels), her pretty "blowing confetti out of my hands" face, and lots of laughing. I've LOVED getting to know Fernie this year AND leading Bible Study with her. I try not to cry thinking about her leaving Lubbock for Dallas. And when I say I'm trying not to cry, it means I've already teared up about it several times and will probably sob when I drive home after hugging her goodybe.

Fernie's a beautiful, intentional, loving, and fun soul. I've loved her honesty, her desire to cultivate and be in community with a diverse group of friends, her ability to cry and laugh simultaneously, her story of how Jesus has radically changed her soul since she came to college, and I absolutely love our shared obsession with Jane the Virgin.

Pale Pink Wedding Invitation Suite + PIZZA MENU

When Juliana First asked me to create their wedding invitations, she sent me this awesomely long email about her and Matt--- how they met, why she loves him, and how excited she was to marry him. If you know me, you know I like long emails, love stories in detail, and really getting to know my Bride--- and if you know Juliana, you know she loves sharing her life, stories, details--- and, most importantly, you know her exuberance is contagious.

I was PUMPED to design this suite and a few extra wedding signs before we even started, 1) because this is my job and I LOVE IT and 2) because Juliana's excitement took this shindig to a whole new level of fun.

The best part about all of this? Juliana and Matt had their first "date" at one of my favorite coffee shops, Classic Coffee in Glendora, CA. The secret is to get the Spiced Chai, not the coffee. Ya know, if you end up going there ever. Buy me some chai mix while you're there, okay?

Juliana and Matt chose my A La Carte option so they could pick and choose exactly what they needed: Invitation Card, Details/Info Card, Handrawn map, Wedding Monogram, Silver Envelopes, a Wedding Program and Food Menu.

Here are two alternate Invitation alternates Juliana and Matt didn't end up choosing. I'm a sucker for messy handwriting, and I absolutely loved the alternate invitation with extra wreathing and florals, but you know what? Juliana was the one choosing, and I love what she chose!

Also, if you take a good look at the map, you'll find APU! Shout out to all my APU alumni out there--- I don't have an APU love story, but I know a lot of friends who do. :) I loved that it made it onto these wedding invitations.

Demi + Alex | Wedding

How is it I keep getting to photograph these beyond chill couples? Not only were these two CRAZY relaxed at their wedding, they were CRAZY kind and hospitable to everyone there. I've always known Demi as the hugging type, but it turns out Alex is too---I loved getting to see and meet her family and Alex's family, the very huggers they got their hugging from. :)

These two...

Caring, selfless, and fun. I experienced some of the sweetest friendship, family, and marriage moments at their wedding that I don't always see in what can be a stressful day. For them, it wasn't.

Halfway through Demi and Alex's wedding day, we ran into another bride and groom, both of whom looked stressed out, haggard, and were audibly frustrated with each other and their families. It was insane to see the stark contrast and it made me silently so grateful for the kind of intentional and gentle love Demi and Alex have created in their relationship and had made extra room for on their wedding day.

And that prayer around the door moment? We'd laughed earlier that day about Alex crying, but you can see it in Demi's face--- she wasn't expecting to be the one overcome with tears. And that prayer Alex prayed--- He thanked God for Demi and for the day and for marriage. And his joy in telling God how excited he was is evident in these pictures.

Madison | Senior & Lifestyle Portraits

I've got two custom wedding invitation suites to design, a wedding to photograph, and a promotional video to film this month--- but before all that fun goes down, I got to snap pics of THIS BEAUTIFUL TEXAS TECH SENIOR. She's a nurse. She's already loved on, served, and impacted so many peoples' lives at the hospital. She's got a big empathetic heart for others and that's what makes her an awesome person and an awesome nurse.

ANNNDDD, most importantly, if you're about to graduate with a nursing degree and you've worked your butt off the past few years, what would you do to celebrate?

Not sure? Take some notes from Maddie--- she went to Vegas to see the Backstreet boys and relax by the pool. Teenage me, early twenties me, and Now-twenties me is fan-girling with jealousy and super jealous of the sun-rays she'll be picking up.

For this photoshoot, Maddie wanted to kick over her nursing books and walk around the horticulture garden like a boss. I love how fun these turned out!
